A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease if you’ve got a cloud hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet incredibly simple to work with, and it will enable you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.
